NTA Announces Cut-Offs for General, OBC, EWS, and Other Categories
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the cut-offs for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024. The cut-offs vary based on the category and gender of the candidates. For the General category, the cut-off is 932362181, for OBC it is 796757881, for EWS it is 813266412, and for SC it is 600923182.
Out of the 56 candidates who scored 100 percentile, only 2 were girls. This highlights the gender gap in STEM education and the need for initiatives to encourage more girls to pursue careers in this field.
The JEE Main cut-offs determine which candidates are eligible for admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs). Candidates who have cleared the cut-offs can proceed with the counseling process to secure admission to these institutions.
