After 34 Years On Air Radio Legend Neil Mitchell Has Sold His Beloved Malvern Home

Mitchell and wife swap classic for contemporary Malvern home

After 34 years on air, radio legend Neil Mitchell has sold his beloved Malvern home.

The veteran broadcaster and his wife Selina have traded in their classic abode for a more contemporary residence in the same suburb.

Mitchell, 76, announced his retirement from 3AW last month after a stellar career spanning more than five decades.

"You got me there Karl – my wife says I'm not very emotional either," Shorten said.

Mitchell, who was known for his sharp wit and incisive interviews, has been a fixture on Melbourne airwaves since 1977.

He was on air at 3AW from 5:30am today – three hours before he normally starts.

Fain's replacement Virginia Trioli announced this week she was leaving the role to front a TV arts program.
