Mohamed Salah's early penalty and Divock Origi's late strike gave Liverpool a 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Champions League final on Saturday.
The victory gives Liverpool their sixth European Cup, moving them one ahead of Barcelona and AC Milan in the all-time standings.
Salah opened the scoring in the second minute after Moussa Sissoko was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.
Origi doubled Liverpool's lead in the 87th minute, finishing off a counter-attack led by Jordan Henderson.
Tottenham had chances to get back into the game, but they were unable to find a way past Liverpool's resolute defense.
The victory is a major triumph for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who has now won the Champions League with two different clubs.
"This is an incredible moment for us," said Klopp after the match. "I'm so proud of my players. They've worked so hard all season and they deserve this success."
Liverpool's victory is a major boost for English football. It is the first time that an English club has won the Champions League since Chelsea in 2012.
