Heat Continue Unlikely Playoff Run with Game 7 Triumph
The Miami Heat are headed to the NBA Finals after defeating the Boston Celtics 103-84 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday night.
Jimmy Butler led the charge for the Heat, scoring a game-high 28 points. Caleb Martin added 26 points and 10 rebounds for Miami.
The Heat held the Celtics to just 38.2% shooting from the field and forced 16 turnovers.
The Heat will now face the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals, which begin on Tuesday night.
The Celtics had a chance to tie the series in Game 7, but they were unable to overcome a poor shooting night.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 24 points, but he shot just 8-of-23 from the field.
The Heat's victory is a major upset, as they were the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference entering the playoffs.
The Heat have now won two Game 7s in this year's playoffs, after also beating the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round.
