MLS President Bill Manning Leaves Toronto FC
Toronto FC and the Toronto Argonauts have parted ways with Bill Manning, the president of both teams.
Manning has served as president of Toronto FC since 2015 and the Toronto Argonauts since 2017.
According to an announcement from MLSE, Manning has stepped down from his role as president of both teams.
In a statement, MLSE thanked Manning for his contributions to the organization and wished him well in his future endeavors.
Manning's departure comes at a time of change for both Toronto FC and the Toronto Argonauts.
Toronto FC is in the midst of a rebuild after a disappointing season in 2022. The team has made several changes to its roster, including the signing of Spanish forward Lorenzo Insigne.
The Toronto Argonauts are also in a state of flux. The team fired head coach Ryan Dinwiddie after a disappointing season in 2022 and hired former BC Lions head coach Michael Clemons as his replacement.
It is unclear who will replace Manning as president of Toronto FC and the Toronto Argonauts. MLSE has not yet announced a timeline for filling the position.
